Exchange Profiler Service: Automate Email Profiling in PerfectLaw
The Exchange Profiler Service (EPS) streamlines the process of profiling emails within PerfectLaw’s Document Management System in AIM. With EPS, your firm can automatically profile emails, making them accessible to users without requiring manual intervention. This ensures seamless email organization and enhances efficiency across your firm.
How It Works
EPS integrates with your firm’s Microsoft Exchange Server, allowing it to recognize and categorize emails based on predefined criteria. Here’s how you can leverage EPS for automated email profiling:
- Compose an Email in Outlook
- Address the recipient as usual.
- Add the PerfectLaw profiling account in the CC field. This step is essential—emails will not be automatically profiled if the PerfectLaw account is not copied.
- Assign the Email to the Correct Matter
- Use the PerfectLaw tab in Outlook.
- Select the Client/Matter from the embedded search.
- This selection automatically adds the client and matter information to the email subject line, ensuring correct profiling.
- Send and Auto-Profile
- Once sent, the email (including attachments) is automatically categorized and stored in the appropriate matter.
- For seamless tracking, consider using an email signature instructing recipients to Reply All—this ensures all replies are also captured and profiled correctly.
